BLUE: AN UNTOLD STORY

A show centred on the female experience and how it relates to the stories told in Joni Mitchell's iconic album 'Blue'. Performed by harpists & vocalists Ada Grace Francis and Anna Mcluckie, accompanied by a string quartet, this show provides unique arrangements of this beautiful album.

Alongside developing the performance we collaborated with poet, producer and creative facilitator, Nasima Bee to run a series of poetry workshops for women from across Manchester, focused on the lyrics of Joni Mitchell and how they resonate to different aspects of womanhood.

These workshops resulted in participants creating poetry that was designed into a beautiful zine program for audiences at the two shows hosted at NIAMOS and The Yard Theatre.
