The music and legacy of Nina Simone and her 1991 performance at Hulme's NIA Centre (now NIAMOS) has had a huge impact on the local community of Hulme and in turn on the development of the Untold Orchestra.

Nina: An Orchestral Rendition is a show developed in collaboration with the NIAMOS and multiple Manchester creatives. We've worked with some of the original team from Hulme's NIA Centre (Linford Sweeney, Audrey Hall and Steve Bryant) to bring in original recordings of Nina's performance, and stories from her visit, into the production.

Working with a collection of singers including Yemi Bolatiwa, Nicole Battick, Ellen Lewis, Bee Rosebud, Sylvia Tella, and poets including Cookie Love, Mica Sinclair, Renee Stormz and Eva Bee this production celebrates the music of Nina Simone and reminds audiences of the importance of fighting for the social justice her music demanded.

Since the debut show in 2019 we have performed this show in mutliple venues across Manchester including, a back by popular demand show, at NIAMOS, HOME Theatre and Blues Kitchen.
